Courses
There are a lot of Photoshop courses and I can only mention a few and hopefully they get you started or at least allow you to compare their offerings with other courses that are not listed, so that you get an idea what you can expect for your money.
Check your local area for Photoshop courses. Don't pay too much, after all, why
would you pay a lot when you can find a lot of Photoshop related material
on the internet, for free! Even a book is cheaper than most courses.

- LVS Online Classes for example offers Photoshop classes that are 6 weeks long, all online with message board support, packed with great activities and tips and are just $25 US (check their site for latest price).
